As a Business Manager, you will be using your skills and expertise to manage and coordinate our business operations with specific responsibility to support efforts towards the attainment of cost, schedule, and performance goals and objectives. You'll be responsible for setting up cost control systems, monitoring and controlling our costs and schedules, and serving as the core liaison between the business and corporate to support and fulfill our financial and program goals. You'll participate in budget preparation, cost control and oversight, and business resource planning and tracking.

Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations. Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study

  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Hands on Earned Value Management baseline and Cost & Schedule Control experience

  • Ability to lead a six person team of program finance analyst across multiple geographic locations

Preferred:

  • Hands on experience & knowledge working with Costpoint/Deltek, Cobra, SAP, and Adaptive Planning business applications

    Experience in finance, accounting, business management, or other quantitative or analytical roles in business, program, or operations management

    Strong business analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools

    Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures

    The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
  • Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
  • Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors
  • Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.

Working Conditions:

  • Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
  • Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
  • Rarely exposed to loud noises

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $138,634.92 - $190,623.01
