As a EHS Specialists II at Sierra Space you are responsible for a range of technical work across EHS disciplines, focusing on engaging stakeholders, reducing risk, and developing EHS programs. You'll be working individually and in teams to develop and implement controls, address employee and stakeholder concerns. Your technical responsibilities will ensure the wellbeing of the employees, environment and that we maintain compliance to federal, state, and local regulations and standards.

Must Haves:
Bachelor's degree in EHS related field, or experience
3 or more years of safety experience in aerospace, military, aviation, or general industry
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Knowledgeable with a variety of occupational health & safety standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, ASTM, EPA, etc.)
Experience responding to incidents and emergencies and managing the event
Demonstrated ability to conduct a job hazard analysis, site audits, and observations
Fluency with data capture, data analytics, spreadsheets, and presentations
Familiarity with behavior-based safety concepts
Experience developing and implementing programs
Preferred:
Knowledge of ISO, ANSI Z10, VPP, and other management system tools
Experience in startup cultures
Experience in radiation, lasers, or industrial hygiene
