👷 New Shepard Avionics – Principal Electrical Engineer

This position is in Blue Origin’s exciting New Shepard program – we are flying people to space!

We are a diverse team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers, and this position will directly impact the history of space exploration. It will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable human space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.

You will be integrated with our rocket program and technical leads to drive requirements definition, modeling, analysis, design, test and production release of on-vehicle components and sub-systems. Your responsibilities will encompass electronic requirements, architecture concepts, detailed design, and development. In addition, you will follow avionics designs through formal verification, environmental qualification, release, and participate in flight support activities.

Your responsibilities as a Principal Electrical Engineer will go beyond the technical aspects of the position. You will mentor and coach other avionics engineers within the team and across Blue Origin, and well as lead small to medium teams with the modification and implementation of team standards, processes, and plans. This role will frequently interact with the chief engineers and leadership team.
