Become part of our team developing the first independent commercial space station. This space station is based on our expandable _LIFE_™ habitat, serviced by _Dream Chaser_® spaceplane, and will provide the facilities and services for commercial research, manufacturing and tourism.
As an Electrical Systems Engineer III, Harness Design, you’ll be responsible for working with all subsystems across the space station product line to understand harnessing needs and implement them. You will work closely requirements teams, design teams, safety, quality, and mechanical configurators to create a harnessing architecture that is efficient and scalable. Depending on the strengths of the candidate and the specific needs of the program, you may brief design to leadership, impact trades and design decisions, support other electrical efforts, and promote opportunities for design simplification and improvement.
Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline and typically four (4) or more years of relevant experience; higher education may be considered in lieu of experience
Relevant work experience may substitute for required education
Demonstrated Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience with design and/or integration of electrical spacecraft systems such as avionics, power and/or communication systems
Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment with emphasizes in rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities
Strong communication skills and self-management
Experience with human spaceflight
Experience with harness design and installation drawings
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles
Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Rhapsody, NoMagic, and Cameo

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38
