Starfish Space is an exciting and fast-growing space startup in Seattle, Washington founded by former Blue Origin and NASA engineers. We are giving life to on-orbit services with our Otter Space Tug and satellite servicing technologies. In 2021, we raised a $7M seed round, won a $1.7M award through the Space Force’s Pitch Day competition, and launched our CEPHALOPOD software into space for on-orbit testing. We are making exciting technological and commercial progress in 2022 and growing our team rapidly.
Satellite servicing missions require autonomous, robotic actions in orbit. To fulfill our mission Starfish is developing the Otter space tug and the CEPHALOPOD guidance software to interact with and maximize the operational value of satellites. This position will support the development of flight software and relies on satellite operations knowledge, software development practices, and mathematics. This role will do everything ranging from writing software, to developing autonomous flight algorithms, to building simulation infrastructure to ensure high reliability performance.
