The IT Business System Analyst supports the ongoing usage, development and rollout of the LN ERP systems and other LN ERP integrated systems across Rocket Lab and its subsidiaries whilst ensuring system integrity is maintained.

Deliverables / outcomes

  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with Rocket Lab department managers & staff and EIS & IT colleagues.
  • Understand and use the Jira EIS ticketing system
  • Provide user and department ERP level 1 support in response to logged issued and quick support chat channels.
  • Work with departments and other ERP staff to resolve break/fix issues
  • Make use of existing system and process documentation in resolving issues raised by departments and users
  • Escalate new feature issues, process change requests, master data issues to the ERP development process for detailed assessment as required
  • Continuously expend knowledge and understanding of current processes and system capabilities
  • Provide ERP level 1 training and refreshers for new users and existing users

Development

  • Under direction from the ERP Manager and US ERP Systems Engineer
    • Contribute to the fortnightly development sprints
    • Work with the NZ ERP team, BI team and business functions to develop and improve processes and develop documentation & associated training material
    • Work with various Rocket Lab business units in North America to ensure effective implementation of LN to support their current needs and to conform to existing Rocket Lab procedures

Testing and Implementation

  • Assist the team to develop and maintain the ERP system and integrations with other systems.
  • Adhere to current practices for testing, documentation, source control, change control and code release to production environments
  • Support the ERP team in analyzing, testing, documenting, and peer reviewing changes to ERP systems.
  • Assist departments with process improvement and development decisions.
  • Write detailed end user guides on how to use aspects the ERP system in the context of the Rocket Lab business streams
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the ERP Wiki space content to ensure it conforms to style guides, and is current and accurate
  • Be aware and familiar with ITAR and SOX compliance requirements in regard to all developments and changes

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Information Systems, Engineering, Science or equivalent.
  • Strong interest in information/business systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and other information systems.
  • Training and support experience.
  • Coding experience
  • Must be detail oriented and capable of problem solving.
  • Able to work with team members of varying skill levels in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 yearsโ€™ experience in a similar role using tier 1 ERP systems (Infor LN preferred) in a design and manufacturing environment.
  • Production and Manufacturing processing experience.ย 
  • Six Sigma experience.
  • SQL experience.
  • Ability to think holistically to consider knock-on impacts from change.ย 
  • Strong interest in business process development and improvements.ย 
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, self-motivated and open to learning.
  • Team player with the ability to build strong peer and interpersonal relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written.
