SUMMARY

Come help us support the Supply Chain that builds Rockets!  We are looking for high energy individual with exceptional attention to detail. The R&D Buyer Avionics Buyer position provides critical support to the Avionics Development Team.  Come be a true contributor and make a difference.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support preparation of internal requests for proposals for distribution to vendors.

• Analyzes all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.

• Work closely with Finance and other internal departments to validate and execute Supplier payment schedules.

• Review business aspects of requisition and provide advice as subject matter expert.

• Handle communications and negotiations with vendors and suppliers while ensuring all quality standards are met.

• Manage day to day purchasing duties for assigned parts.

• Manage delivery schedule, recovery, and corrective action.

• Assist with a wide array of additional functions as necessary within rapid growth R&D environment.

• Support Supply Chain efforts with R & D teams.

• Support Make/Buy decision.

• Manage the selection and onboarding process for suppliers in an R & D environment.

• Help resolve risk issues from long lead, raw material, capacity, sole source, and other constrains that arise in the design phase within the Supply Chain.

• Supplier Quality Experience.

• Follow Corporate Procurement Practices and Procedures when making decisions concerning negotiating, sourcing, and contracting for all goods and services purchased for the plant.

• Compare quotes against requirements and budgetary compliance.

• Assist requisitioners in selecting suppliers that align and comply with Firefly ASL/AVL.  (Approved Supplier/Vendor list)

• Work with Finance to ensure that contracts align with Federal, State and Local laws.

• Tracking and manage all blanket agreements/PO/Contracts within the MRO/Indirect spend environment.

• Act as liaison between stakeholders such as the rest of Purchasing Team, Finance, Sales, Engineering, Systems, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 5 � 7 years buying in a R & D/New Product Development environment.
• MS Office (including Excel, Word & Outlook)
• Software operation and data entry skills.
• Demonstrate strong sense of urgency and prioritization of internal issues.
• Proven experience working cross functionally and shown ability to influence and communicate across all levels.
• Strong ability to handle and effectively prioritize multiple competing priorities and requests.
• Possess a valid �Real ID� driver�s license, and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass Air Force background checks.
• Physical stamina to perform regular duties, including:
  • Lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Crouch, bend, and reach

Desired

• Odoo ERP/MRP knowledge.
• ITAR experience.
• Aerospace Industry as an OEM, Supplier, Contractor, Sub-contractor.
• Experience in an Engineering development, Proto-typing and test environment a plus.
• Experience in AS9100 environment a plus.
