The Platform Operations Engineer's role is to troubleshoot, monitor, integrate, configure, and administer Platform applications. The person in this role participates in the planning and documentation of policies and procedures to ensure system implementation, design, and maintenance is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

We are NOT a "work hard, play hard" group. We are a "work smart" group, and you can play how you like on your own time. As a young company, we still offer opportunities to work on greenfield projects; maintaining legacy software will require only a small portion of your time.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and Maintain Platform Systems:

• Design/implement/integrate additional monitoring tools to ensure continuity of the Platform
• Perform incident management and response procedures to ensure all incidents are addressed appropriately
• Configure Platform systems utilizing compliance best practices
• Create and maintain documentation for applications, processes, and procedures
• Conduct audits on existing systems by running reports and providing analysis
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to critical events

Technical Support and Administration:

• Manage end user accounts, permissions, and access
• Anticipate, identify, troubleshoot and mitigate/resolve issues as they arise
• Integrate and automate platform systems to increase value and adoption
• Transmit data between platform systems with automated tooling
• Advise business on new and existing platform systems

Required Qualifications:

• Passion to solve complex problems.
• Minimum of three years of experience in engineering operations for commercial software in a production environment; familiarity with agile methodologies, software product and release life cycles, source code and change management.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
• Experience with scalable cloud-based systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Python/Java/JavaScript experience.
• Experience working with databases (ie. MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch).
• Experience working with geospatial products.
