JOB SUMMARY

Momentus is seeking a IT Engineer to support our rapid growth and mature our IT Operations. In this role, as a member of the internal IT team you will lead vulnerability / patch management efforts, manage corporate and operational mission IT infrastructure and provide deskside troubleshooting support to our business unit customers with a continuous improvement mindset. In doing so, you must think critically about how IT supports business operations, constantly striving to deliver a customer-focused service.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform software vulnerability/patch management. Work with cloud instance of Tenable.io and our third party providers to identify risks and remediate both manually and in an automated manner using Microsoft InTune utilizing a risk-prioritized methodology.
  • Provide timely technical support for a variety of break-fix work in response to end-user requests via hands-on effort within our headquarters office or through telephone / teleconference to our remote users.
  • Create, track and escalate user work requests, thoroughly documenting issues and closing tickets within the automated work order ticketing system. Provide feedback to IT leadership periodically to ensure effective solutions are implemented
  • Follow documented processes in a planned and coordinated way in line with departmental procedures and industry standards.
  • Provide support for internal and external audit/assessor/penetration testers.
  • Setup and configure Microsoft Windows laptops for end users, printers, peripherals and other computing equipment as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Receive outline of work from management, then determine and apply the tools/resources necessary to achieve the department’s business objectives, projects and timelines.
  • Maintain professional work ethic, appearance, and communication style on the telephone, via email and in-person.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an interrupt-driven environment.
  • Exhibit punctuality and reliability on the job.
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communications skills.
  • Prior startup and/or aerospace experience is a plus.
  • Basic Knowledge of Patch Management, Solarwinds, Azure AD, MS Intune, Backup systems, Print management and Windows deployment and configuration preferred.

Education & Work Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a technical discipline, including a combination of hardware and software desktop support in a Microsoft Windows environment, IT infrastructure services, networking and cloud architecture.
  • Microsoft certifications, A+, Network+ or related certifications a plus

Work Schedule

  • Assigned schedule within core business hours, M-F, and assigned rotating on call coverage as needed
  • Flexibility to occasionally work early or late hours, and extended weekend hours, typically with advance notice
  • On-site M-F in San Jose, CA office

Salary and option compensation is commensurate with experience and training. This is a full-time position in San Jose, California. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) is required.
