We have a current opportunity for a Sr. Software Engineer located at our facility in Jacksonville, FL. In this role you will be involved in every facet of developing and implementing algorithms for in space manufacturing technologies ranging from advanced additive manufacturing, fiber optics, growth of industrial crystals, satellite tools and hybrid metal manufacturing.


  • Engage with management, scientists, and engineers to determine the needs of the mission and collaborate in the development of the software requirements

  • Design, implement and test highly reliable and efficient algorithms which fulfill the solution requirements

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior of prior relevant experience
  • Previous experience with embedded software development
  • Previous experience C/C++
  • Experience with embedded Linux
  • Experience in any of these areas:
    • Image processing
    • Controls
    • Simulation, including development of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test environments
    • Autonomous systems

Desired Skills

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in related field preferred
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior software developers
  • Experience working with scientists and engineers across disciplines
  • Experience with static analysis code coverage tools
  • Experience using and implementing scientific data visualization software
  • Previous experience with RTOS based embedded software development
  • Practical knowledge of the development of data structures and complex algorithms
  • Proficiency using Python or Ruby preferred
  • Experience with source control tools especially GIT
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills
