Precision Cleaner Technician

As a precision cleaner technician at Rocket Lab, you will be responsible for cleaning machined flight hardware components and assemblies.  All major components of the Rutherford rocket engine are 3D printed including thrust chamber, injectors, main valves and pumps. Position requires a high-level of attention to detail.  

Precision Cleaner is an excellent entry opportunity to gain experience and develop their career in the Space industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • No prior aerospace precision cleaner experience required. 
  • Prior or current experience in precision cleaning, ultrasonic cleaners, degreasers, oxygen cleaning and clean room methodology/practices within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience bagging parts and creating labels accordingly. 
  • Self-motivated, proactive, enthusiastic, and able to work effectively with minimum direct supervision. 
  • Experience meeting tight deadlines within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. 
  • Ability to follow detailed work-instructions, record detailed day-to-day activities, and intermediate level of computer application competency.  
  • Highly organized with faultless attention to detail. 
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. 

PREFERED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • 1+ years of experience as a precision cleaner technician within the aerospace industry. 
  • Experience working in a cleanroom. 
  • Prior experience with any of the following: 
    • Ultrasonic Cleaning Tanks 
    • Bag & Tag 
    • NVR (non-volatile residue) 
    • Particle Part Testing 

 ADDITIONAL SHIFT INFORMATION 

  • 4/10 Shift Schedule: 5:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday through Thursday.
