Maxar is currently seeking a Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our team in Westminster, CO. Manage and execute end-to-end operational billing for new and existing customers
Review and collection of delinquent accounts
Review and approval of credit limits for new and existing customers
Generate internal collection progress reports
Identify and implement process improvement
Build strong relationships and lines of communication with external and internal customers
Interface with multiple departments, including Sales staff and multiple levels of management
Cash receipts – accurately apply all customer payments and research unidentified amounts
Negotiate payment plans with delinquent customer accounts
Adhere to Receivables Accounting policies and procedures, in accordance with GAAP and SOX
Collaborate with Revenue Accountants to ensure proper recording of A/R and Revenue
Assist with month-end close, quarterly reviews, and annual and quarterly audits
Prepare month-end related journal entries and account reconciliations
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
2 years of hands-on Accounts Receivable experience.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Solid understanding of debits and credits, account balancing, and reconciliation procedures
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience with SAP or similar ERP
Commitment to excellent customer service and teamwork
Excellent organizational and time management skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
The compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually, dependent on skills and experience.
