Maxar is currently seeking a Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our team in Westminster, CO. In order to be successful in this role, you will possess a strong initiative and a desire and ability to be an effective team player. You will also be motivated and comfortable in working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.


  • Manage and execute end-to-end operational billing for new and existing customers

  • Review and collection of delinquent accounts

  • Review and approval of credit limits for new and existing customers

  • Generate internal collection progress reports

  • Identify and implement process improvement

  • Build strong relationships and lines of communication with external and internal customers

  • Interface with multiple departments, including Sales staff and multiple levels of management

  • Cash receipts – accurately apply all customer payments and research unidentified amounts

  • Negotiate payment plans with delinquent customer accounts

  • Adhere to Receivables Accounting policies and procedures, in accordance with GAAP and SOX

  • Collaborate with Revenue Accountants to ensure proper recording of A/R and Revenue

  • Assist with month-end close, quarterly reviews, and annual and quarterly audits

  • Prepare month-end related journal entries and account reconciliations

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree

  • 2 years of hands-on Accounts Receivable experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills

  • Solid understanding of debits and credits, account balancing, and reconciliation procedures

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP

  • Commitment to excellent customer service and teamwork

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a focus on detail and accuracy

The compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually, dependent on skills and experience.
