Our mission is to build a future full of life, on Earth and beyond. This future will only be made possible if we figure out how we โ€“ humans can live respectfully as part of our environment, in a sustainable and regenerative way. We therefore design and build environment-controlled modules able to create ideal conditions for plants to grow efficiently everywhere โ€“ making possible durable farming and biodiversity conservation on Earth, and optimized life-support in space.

As an Industrial Designer, you will join the design team to work on the design of Interstellar Lab terrestrial and space products. You will contribute to building the next generation of environmental solutions for Earth and advancing our path towards space exploration and autonomy. You will be a part of a cross-disciplinary, innovative team of talented individuals from around the world.

It is imperative that Interstellar Lab products communicate professionalism, efficiency, and innovation while inspiring generations of people. The key challenge of this role is that aesthetics design process within the combined agronomy and aerospace industries is relatively new and uncharted territory.

Using industrial design best practices, Interstellar Lab designers will deliver products that inspire the world while meeting the needs of engineering, manufacturing, and operations. Design team members will also be fundamental in education and implementation of design process elements such as digital modeling, building information modeling, digital twin development, scale model prototyping and production integration.
