About the role
The flight safety analysis lead is responsible for leading a team responsible for analytical products to support mission operations at Rocket Lab, these include trajectory analyses, risk analyses, modelling and simulation. The scope of the flight safety analysis team includes developing methods, software tools, data packages and technical reports primarily for flight safety compliance with regulatory requirements (FAA, NASA, DoD). Primary responsibilities of this role include team leadership, ensuring work packages are delivered to internal and external stakeholders on time, and technical development in pushing the state of the art.
