Maxar is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Space Software group. Preferred candidates will be in/near Westminster, CO.
The Maxar Space Software group is comprised of four (4) sub-groups that are responsible for all software development within Maxar’s Space division. These groups work on a variety of programs including low and geosynchronous earth orbit satellites and NASA exploratory missions as just two examples. These four groups are:
Flight Software (FSW) Development & Test – software designed to run on and operate Maxar-built spacecraft Dynamics & Control Analysis (DCA) – responsible for guidance and navigation control design Ground Software (GSW) – software designed to communicate to/from Maxar-built spacecraft Simulations (DSS) – software designed to emulate Maxar-built spacecraft
We are investing heavily in modernizing and unifying our software development tool set used across these four groups. For example, in the last year alone, we have developed an ability to perform automated nightly builds and tests of FSW for one of our major programs. We have likewise developed a number of microservice-based capabilities that automate how we share design information between the groups.
This role operates at the intersection of exciting aerospace opportunities with cutting-edge software development practices and tools. If you are experienced in the later, and want to be involved in the former, these are the roles for you.
