As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, technicians, and specialists, you will report to the Displays, Controls, Utilization, and Mockups IPT Manager as a Systems Integrator, focusing on the integration of these subsystems.  You will lead trade studies, run integrated analyses, and define interfaces that impact the design and integration of the IPT subsystems. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and attention towards safe and reliable spaceflight.

You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the negotiator between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests to ensure the optimization of the IPT subsystems
  • Contribute to or lead architecture studies, concept development, ICD development, verification planning, vehicle integration, and operations support
  • Manage requirements development, definition, and maturity
  • Develop interface control documents (ICDs)
  • Coordinate constraints and conflicting requirements across multiple disciplines
  • Ensure coordination of design changes and associated impacts across subsystems
  • Identify program risks and associated mitigations

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical subject area
  • Deep technical knowledge in one or more spacecraft subsystems (Avionics, Software, GNC, EPS, etc)
  • Highly knowledgeable of systems engineering practices, integration processes, and mission/safety critical systems
  • Strong ability and desire to analyze complex systems and deliver solutions to results-oriented problems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired:

  • Successful candidates typically have 3-8 years of relevant experience
  • M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Electrical, or related technical subject area
  • Experience with human-rated spacecraft
  • Experience with full spacecraft design life cycle
  • Experience with MBSE methods and tools including SysML
  • Experience with requirements definition and management, preferably using Jama
  • Experience with software tools such as SINDA/FLUINT, MATLAB/Simulink, Creo, Jama, Cameo, Confluence, and JIRA

Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $102,383 - $150,161
