About the role

As a Senior Engineer with our Ground Systems Engineering Mechanical team you will be responsible for the design, build, testing and commissioning of structures and mechanisms at our launch and test sites and on mobile equipment. As a senior engineer in the team you will be a subject matter expert and technical decision maker. You will also be involved in project planning and working closely with technicians to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

  
Essential skills

• Mechanical or process engineering degree or equivalent
• 6+ years’ experience in engineering design, test and/or operations in aerospace and/or industrial sectors
• CAD, SolidWorks, EPDM or similar
• Ability to work in fast paced, autonomously driven environment
• Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers

Desired Skills

• Experience with launch pad systems, engine test stand, OR oil and gas, process, mining, or other similar industry
• Experience with structural design and analysis
• Experience with industrial machinery and equipment
• NX and Teamcenter
• Experience with ASME, ASTM, and/or NASA ground system standards would be an asset
