Maxar is currently seeking a Technical Targeting Analyst to join our team. This role can be performed in our Maxar facility located in Herndon, Virginia. 

As a Maxar team member, you will have the opportunity to closely support our mission partners, and your work will have a direct impact on mission imperatives.  In this role, you will work closely with other software developers, as well our infrastructure and cybersecurity teams leveraging open-source tools to create and maintain a diverse range of applications.

Helping to guide and shape data engineering efforts and analytical tradecraft improvements with our applications, as well as helping us identify any gaps we might have within our data corpus and analytical capabilities.

Minimum Requirements:  

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph.

• At least 5 years of experience as an analyst, targeter, technical targeter, or similar.

• Experience creating new and innovative analytical workflows and methodologies.

• Experience working with a scripting language like Python, utilizing PySpark or similar

• Must be able to work on-site in Hendon, VA.

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Comfortable briefing senior level leaders

• Comfortable leading small teams

• Experience in a customer facing role

• Experience working with targeting tools and databases

• Familiarity with Gitlab

• In-depth knowledge of technical data types based on previous research and work with data sets of interest. Data types of interest include Technical Telemetry Data; Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR); Computer Network Cyber data; Other forms of telecommunication protocol data types, including cellular, wi-fi, and ethernet.

• Experience working with other intel analysts and/or special operations customers.

• Ability to lead the development of analytical tools, to include: gathering requirements and distilling into project plans; developing project plans and requirements; leading a small team of developers to build web-facing tools for users.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$92,000.00 - $154,000.00 annually.
