The Advanced Development organization is a diverse, collaborative team tasked with rapidly creating the next generation of technology, products, and capabilities for Sierra Space. We are hands-on, embrace risk, and move quickly to fly impactful solutions for our customers. The Program Manager provides leadership and management of projects and people in the concept, architecture, design, build, verification and validation, and operation of innovative robotic and manned spacecraft and subsystems for Low Earth Orbit (LEO), lunar, and deep space applications. The Advanced Development team is looking for both experienced and early-career spacecraft engineers and program managers.
Program Managers are team enablers, passionate about people and program management, who lead through example. This position guides and enables the development of the project from concept through design, build, test, integration, launch, and orbital operations.
As a Program Manager II, you plan and execute research and development (R&D) initiatives and advanced programs through your skills and expertise. This position works closely with a strategic team that defines the technology roadmap that drives advanced initiatives enhancing Sierra Space product lines. You are responsible for all programmatic aspects of your assigned project ensuring positive customer relationships, cost, schedule and technical planning, tracking and reporting, technical execution, and ensuring overall program performance objectives are achieved. You are crucial in business resource planning/tracking in coordination with other corporate entities and accountable to formulate a team that can fulfill program requirements. You are responsible for conducting routine meetings, interfacing on project/program status, developing proposals, researching/fact-finding, coordinating audits, and negotiating with project/program stakeholders to ensure enterprise initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints. In this role, you may be responsible for managing your own programs or supporting senior program managers in larger efforts across multiple Sierra Space locations.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $138,634.92 - $190,623.01
Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
