SUMMARY

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant is responsible for a wide variety of accounting duties. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, resourceful, and has Corporate finance experience in a manufacturing or hardware company with exposure to public company filings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the monthly financial close process independently.
• Provide support for completion of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages.
• Analyze and reconcile certain balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Assist with ad-hoc requests both internally and externally.
• Assist with the consolidation and preparation of financial statements, which includes consolidation entries, account analyses for certain accounts and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Interact with the entire Finance organization on a routine basis and various departments throughout the organization.
• Work with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate resolution of audit requests.
• Maintains documented policies and procedures for all accounting operations and supports the monitoring and continuous improvement of internal controls including process and policy design, accounting systems, recordkeeping, documentation, and overall effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bachelor�s Degree in Business, accounting, or related field
• 5-7 years corporate accounting experience
• Technical accounting abilities
• Passion for detail and meeting deadlines
• Flexibility and ability to pivot between competing priorities
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
• Strong organizational skills to include effective time management in all key responsibilities of the job
• Communication skills, both written and verbal, are critical

Desired

• Master�s Degree in Accounting or MBA
• 5-7 corporate experience, preferably working for a public manufacturing or aerospace company with exposure to SEC filings
• CPA preferred
