SUMMARY: Our team is looking for an energetic and dynamic ECLSS Engineer who will primarily be responsible for aiding Axiom’s Space Station Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) Team with designing spacecraft ECLSS systems for the commercial Axiom Space Station. We are looking for an individual who is motivated, passionate about space, and excels at problem solving. The role requires strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work on a collaborative team developing Axiom Station’s Environmental Control and Life Support System
  • Assist in design, development, and build of ECLSS components per Axiom Station requirements
  • Bill of materials preparation and component management
  • Creating component specifications and drawings
  • Schematic and diagram generation
  • Plan and perform testing of ECLSS components and integrated assemblies
  • Perform analysis of test results and communicate path forward to team members
  • Generate test plans, procedures, and reports

Education & Experience

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field required
  • 0-2 years’ experience in mechanical systems, hardware development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred experience:
    • SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling software or similar computer aided design tool
    • PDM software such as SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM) or similar
    • Creating engineering drawings and dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y-14
    • Environmental and Life Support systems
    • NASA Spaceflight hardware development
