About the Role:  

The ideal candidate will have an affinity for working with and building electrical and mechanical assemblies demonstrating proficiency in reading both mechanical and electrical drawings for both build and debug purposes.

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Assemble, disassemble, and prepare high-value space flight hardware in accordance with established procedures
  • Repair and rework electronic assemblies
  • Test electrical systems and boards with a variety of analytical lab equipment (examples: oscilloscopes, power supplies, meters, electrical loads, etc)
  • Execute detailed test procedures and accurately record/prepare test results and data analysis
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical test fixtures and setups
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical test equipment
  • Work closely with engineers to support project development work

What You Bring:

  • Demonstrated precision to effectively contribute to a dynamic and often fast-paced, high-pressure work environment
  • Experience with system testing and troubleshooting 
  • Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies
  • Basic PCB soldering and mechanical assembly skills
  • Experience rolling out SOPs and standard work
  • Ability to debug mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to execute complex, detailed operations
  • Familiarity with proper factory and lab safety/ OSHA requirements
  • Impeccable organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to work with cross-functional teams of professionals is required
  • Knowledge of 5S & Lean MFG principles
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and diagrams
  • A desire for continuous on-the-job learning

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Educational background in ME or IE
  • Aerospace experience
  • ISO/AS 9002 experience
  • Experience of electrical assembly (Solder, wire crimp, cable assemblies)
  • Ability to use light machine shop fabrication equipment (mill, lathe, band saw, chop saw, etc.
  • Experience working with batteries

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is $86,700 - $142,600.  Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location.  The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
