If you are a self-starter known for your partnership and communication skills, come join us as a Designer! In this role, you will be using your skills and expertise to develop highly complex designs. These cover a very wide range, from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll create and review layouts, drawings, and models for clarity, completeness, and accuracy. You'll identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions and/or improvements in designs.

The designer uses skills and expertise to develop highly complex designs from concept trades to final detail part and assembly drawings. These activities cover a very wide product range that varies from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems to highly integrated aircraft, orbital, and space exploration systems. The designer creates and reviews layouts, drawings, and models for clarity, completeness, and accuracy. Designers identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions and/or improvements in designs. ย Designers collaborate with all levels of mechanical and manufacturing engineers to collectively derive robust, cost effective and reliable designs.
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing course (ASME Y14.5M) certification preferred
Must have experience with AutoCAD/Mechanical Desktop, Inventor, SolidWorks, or comparable 3D design/drafting package
Proficiency using MS Office and Windows operating systems is required. Experience with web browsers and email applications in and inter/intranet environment is recommended
Must be able to read and use measuring instruments such as machinist scales, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment
The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
The ability to โreverse engineerโ parts or assemblies
The ability to interface with vendors/suppliers on procurement and/or manufacturability of a part.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $79,264.96 - $108,989.32
