As a Propulsion Engineer you will join a group of a passionate and accomplished experts to deliver technically mature, high performing liquid rocket engine assemblies for spaceflight systems. The group’s scope extends over the entire product lifecycle, from initial requirements to final delivery, with an overarching goal of facilitating design evolution and production at scale. Your team will incorporate learning from test campaigns and builds at multiple Blue Origin production sites, and support root cause analyses, non-conformance corrective actions, CAD model improvements, and design releases.
You could be responsible for primary and secondary structures, heat exchangers, gimbal joints, flexible elements, insulation, and pressurized cryogenic fluid systems. Successful candidates will possess attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple technical challenges, a demonstrated knowledge of engineering releases, configuration management, and strong fundamentals of mechanical engineering design using advanced materials and manufacturing processes.
You will use your technical judgement to select methods and techniques best suited for the solution, optimally balancing risk and technical design.
You will lead, mentor, and train other engineers on techniques, procedures and criteria required for their job assignment. In this role you will partner with our entire team, not just fellow design engineers, but manufacturing engineers, quality engineers and technicians in developing and manufacturing engines supporting all Blue Origin programs.

Qualifications:
10+ years proven experience with component fabrication, build, assembly and testing on aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.
Proficiency in CAD and large assembly model management and configuration (Creo Parametric and Windchill PLM preferred)
Knowledgeable with GD&T implementation and analysis (ASME Y14.5)
Working knowledge of aerospace materials, treatments and manufacturing processes
B.S. degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Propulsion, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
