****About the role
****As a Junior RF Systems Engineer, you will work closely with RF engineers, and you will play an important role in the design and development and integration and testing of radio frequency communications systems and components used to support RL launch vehicles and satellites. You will be challenged daily and to succeed you will need to adapt quickly and thrive under pressure to achieve tight project deadlines.

Essential skills

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, majoring in electronics/communications/RF (or an equivalent qualification)
  • An understanding of RF communications system fundamentals and the ability to perform basic RF analysis
  • Experience integrating and testing RF communications system and components and operating RF test equipment including VNAs and spectrum analysers
  • Experience applying best practice systems engineering process and developing associated documentation such as requirements specifications, design documents and/or test plans
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships

Desirable skills

  • Practical experience with radio communications systems
  • A general understanding of modulation and coding techniques
  • Familiarity with system level RF analysis applied to ground stations and satellite/spacecraft, including link budget analysis
