As a Systems Engineer III (Loads & Dynamics) Loads & Dynamics Analyst you’ll be intimately involved in the early design and layout of the structure of our inflatable spacecraft habitat and its related subsystems.  Day to day activities will focus on the prediction of static and dynamic loading occurring throughout the life of our habitat, working with our designers to address issues, and validation and iteration of these loads via component and system level testing. Some of the primary technical areas include coupled loads analysis, transient analysis, vibroacoustic, development/management of multi-million degree of freedom finite element models and their correlation/validation.


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Aerospace and/or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and typically six (6) or more years of relevant experience; higher education may be considered in lieu of experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Class work and/or fundamental understanding of finite element and structural analysis
  • Demonstrated experience doing finite element analysis
  • Working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential
  • Proven ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion and improvement


  • Experience with complex dynamic structural simulation or related fields
  • Experience with system level testing and model validation
  • Managing, analyzing, and summarizing large complex datasets
  • Launch vehicle and/or spacecraft design and architecture, particularly in NASA human launch vehicle and spacecraft programs
  • Full lifecycle experience: design, development, test, deployment, and operational support
  • Experience with Nastran DMAP, ATA's iMAT (MATLAB Toolbox), Python or C++

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38
