About the Role:  

This role is to support Planet’s co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer, and report directly to the CSO. You’ll be working in the high paced and high impact Strategy Division, which is responsible for corporate development, product partnerships, technology partnerships and long-term planning.  This role requires strengths in strategic thinking, analytical & problem-solving skills, cross group collaboration and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Impact You’ll Own:

Work in close partnership with the CSO and Strategy team to leverage their full capacity and impact for the organization.  Duties will include the following:

  • Up-leveling the work of the CSO
    • Undertake pre-meetings for context & prepare CSO briefing packets. Interface with leaders in different groups to understand context and background for CSO meetings. Distill information into an "at a glance" format so it is easily referenced by CSO
    • Provide strategic filtering/prioritization of CSO's calendar. Work closely with the Executive Administrator to ensure meetings are organized based on priorities
    • Attend most meetings and document project manage the follow through on deliverables whether coordinating follow through of the CSO, Executive team or helping to delegate to teams as appropriate
  • Strategy team collaboration
  • Facilitate good strategic conversations 
  • Collaboration sessions with cross functional teams
  • Ensure effective communication between CSO and Strategy Team
  • Coordinate and track Executive metrics. Have a strong understanding of department goals and OKRs and help to collect and aggregate measurement data for the CSO 
  • Work closely with CSO to consolidate learnings from meetings into communication for executive leadership that will drive further decision making    
  • Support strategic communication of CSO and Strategy team decisions and plans to the broader company
  • Lead select strategic projects
  • Researching and managing nascent projects and then transitioning them to operational groups when necessary


What You Bring:

  • 5+ years experience in an analyst, strategist or senior stakeholder role in a fast growing business
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering. MBA and/or experience in consultancy firms
  • Project/Program management experience
  • Superior problem solving skills
  • Trustworthy individual who prioritizes integrity and good judgment
  • Must be highly organized, efficient and flexible
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as needed

Compensation (only applicable for Colorado applicants):

The base pay range targeted for this position in Colorado is: $116,100 - $187,200. This role is eligible for equity.

The actual offer, including the compensation package, is determined based on multiple factors, including experience, location, and other business considerations.
