THE MISSION

As part of the fluid system team, you will be responsible for the CAD design and integration of fluid system components into the global launch vehicle assembly. Work hand in hand with the developers to implement design solutions and get the components for our first flight hardware manufactured and tested.

More specifically, you will:

  • Design fluid system panels, clamps, brackets, covers and other support structures
  • Design piping, manifolds, joints and other fluid components
  • Integrate components into the global launch vehicle and test assembly CAD models
  • Define and allocate the mechanical interfaces to other systems
  • Evolve and maintain the global launch vehicle CAD in the PDM system
  • Generate manufacturing drawings and tend to production and procurement

WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE

You are a highly organized and proactive individual with high attention to detail, and you also demonstrate of a can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Strong practical CAD experience with SolidWorks or similar software
  • Practical experience with tolerance stack-up, interference and kinematic studies as well as piping modelling tools
  • Excellent knowledge in lightweight and aerospace structure design
  • Good knowledge in manufacturing and joining processes of carbon composites, metals and other lightweight materials
  • Fluent in English

Desired:

  • Professional experience in an aerospace industry design department

  • Experience with FEM analysis

  • Good understanding of fluid dynamics

  • Be at the centre of an agile and dynamic team of highly motivated space enthusiasts
