System Test Engineer (III-IV) - New Glenn

As part of a small, dedicated and accomplished team, you will develop and implement system-level integrated tests for the New Glenn Vehicle. You will work across our organization and support integrated solutions to achieve our vision of “millions of people living and working in space.” You will share in the team’s impact to validate vehicle design and function.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning major vehicle tests. As a test engineer, you will understand test requirements and coordinate across teams to satisfy objectives. This position combines test planning and documentation with project management. You will also support, and in some cases lead, test readiness reviews in significant ways. Your attention to detail and communication skills are needed to ensure success in this role.

This position is located in Kent, WA or Merritt Island, FL


  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering
  • 7+ years of Test Engineering experience
    • Experience developing test requirements and/or writing test plans
    • Experience assessing test hazards
  • A consistent record of working successfully in multiple subject areas
  • Strong ability and desire to understand sophisticated systems, coordinate complex test aspects, and work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • System engineering practices formal or informal
    • Testing or operating mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, avionics/control and/or cryogenic systems
    • Instrumentation planning
