JOB SUMMARY

The Buyer will focus on the procurement of services, components, custom manufactured materials, and other supplies related to company operations, customer projects and manufacturing processes. 

Job Duties

• Create purchase orders including raising purchase requisitions for CAPEX/large dollar purchases.
• Setup new suppliers and maintain supplier database.  
• Execute daily purchasing activities as directed by Purchasing Manager.
• Maintain open P.O. report in ERP system.
• Work with suppliers for on-time delivery.  Elevate issues as appropriate.
• Maintain supplier ETA accuracy in ERP system.  Track delivery to original commit. 
• May assist inventory team with floor stock inventory (KANBAN).
• Other duties as assigned by Supply Chain Team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, and purchasing software.
• Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
• Ability to utilize and suggest improvements to processes.

Education & Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain or related field.
• 2-5 years experience as a Buyer, materials management or similar role.

This is a full-time position in San Jose, California. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) is required
