About the Role:  

We are looking for a Financial Analyst who is proactive, passionate, and excited to be a part of the future of Planet. You will drive forecasting and planning activities, own financial reporting, build and enhance financial models, and provide decision support. As a member of the Finance team, you will work cross-functionally with the business and help support the overall company strategy. Due to the high-growth nature of our business, the duties and responsibilities of this position will evolve over time, so we are looking for someone who has the drive and desire to grow with the position.

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Support global headcount modeling and planning (review/track capacity)
  • Proactively explore and implement ways to improve the accuracy and efficiency of existing processes
  • Support with annual planning, reporting, and analysis for the long term model
  • Analyze trends and perform variances analysis to ensure accuracy, insight, and appropriate cost controls for leadership
  • Leverage financial systems to build and maintain key financial reports
  • Create and enhance existing financial models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to understand underlying business drivers
  • Ad hoc financial modeling and analysis

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a financial, accounting or consulting role
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, including accounting operations, processes, risks and controls
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with a focus on execution and delivering high quality results
  • Detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Self-starter who can juggle multiple projects, has a passion for technology, and also has a proven track record of adding value to the team
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment
  • Ability to partner with accounting and have a general understanding of GAAP
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets/ Excel
  • Nice to have - Familiarity with financial modeling, Netsuite, Anaplan, and JIRA

Compensation (only applicable for Colorado applicants):

The base pay range targeted for this position in Colorado is: $60,300 - $122,000. This role is eligible for equity.

The actual offer, including the compensation package, is determined based on multiple factors, including experience, location, and other business considerations.

Planet is registered as an employer in many, but not all, states. If you are not able to work from a state where Planet is registered, you will not be eligible for employment.
