The Production Engineering Senior Manager will lead an engineering team that act as the key technical interface between the production value stream and the design engineering teams for the Engines Business Unit. The leader will also champion efforts to identify, develop and deploy design for manufacturing methodologies to improve quality, reduce cost, improve producibility & optimize the production system.
Additionally, the Senior Manager will be expected to coach, mentor, and develop their teams to enable success and at times may have to negotiate between multiple/conflicting interests to optimize the organization and meet multiple customer needs. This leader will strategically ensure technical resources are effectively deployed across multiple programs, guide design for manufacturability & affordability efforts and support development activities for Production Engineering. They will also be expected to support emergent factory/production support issues across multiple product lines which will include root cause corrective action and associated corrective action implementation support as required. Technical leadership will be required as a non-advocate Subject Matter Expert ensuring product excellence through program gated reviews and as part of failure/after action investigations.
