As part of a small, rapidly evolving team, you’ll be responsible for materials and process engineering tasks related to the selection, design, and manufacturing of the New Glenn system. These tasks include supporting design for producibility and manufacturability as well as materials selection and characterization.
We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
MS or PhD in chemical engineering, materials science, or materials engineering
Knowledge of material behavior and compatibility in liquid fuel propellants such as hydrogen, oxygen, and methane
Experience testing materials for performance at a wide range of temperatures: cryogenic to orbital re-entry
Experience participating in industry standards committees and aerospace organizations
Experience with the statistical treatment of test data and the generation of design values using software such as Minitab or JMP
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Estimated salary wage (Colorado only):
Engineer- Materials & Process III- $109K - $163K
Engineer- Materials & Process Sr- $132K - $200K
