What do we do?

ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time โ€“ even when itโ€™s cloudy or dark โ€“ providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

What are we looking for?

To support the companyโ€™s growth, we continue to scale our Engineering team and looking for an Aircraft Structures Engineer to join our global Engineering Team.

About the role?

ICEYE is looking for a Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineer experienced in mechanical CAD design, to join its aircraft development team. As an aircraft structure engineer you will be responsible for designing, prototyping and testing structural and non-structural ultra-lightweight mechanical components of the High Altitude Platform System (HAPS).

You will be part of a small, dedicated team facing an exciting challenge. You will get to work with world leading aerospace and mechanical engineers on a UAV project that has real impact and will set a new mark on aviation history. While this role is focused on aircraft design, in future you will also have opportunity to work on our satellite design. You will get to enjoy a transparent, open, and inclusive work culture. Responsibilities

  • CAD design of ultra-lightweight aircraft structures and mechanical systems.

  • Design prototyping.

  • Structural analysis and optimization.

  • Design-to-manufacture

  • Requirements identification and validation

  • Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil or Engineering degree.

  • Excellent CAD design skills

  • Structural analysis experience

  • Familiarity with lightweight aerospace structures design.

  • Understanding of different manufacturing methods used in aircraft manufacturing

  • Experience in aircraft prototyping & manufacturing

  • Proactive, can-do attitude and love for aerospace are expected!

  • Good command of the English language, both oral and written.
