This Assistant Construction Project Coordinator will work directly with the Planner/Project Manager and assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing construction projects within the budget, timeline, and scope.ย 


  • Participates in contractor and supplier selection, contract award, contract change, constructability reviews, and cost/schedule visibility
  • Preparation and solicitation of RFPs subcontractors to make sure they have included the full scope, best price, production capacity with durations and will meet quality expectations per the project schedule and specifications
  • Coordinating contractors๏ฟฝ and sub-contractors๏ฟฝ during the construction phase
  • Managing overall project schedule and delivery of the project to be on time, in budget, and in accordance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
  • Ensures completion and retention of project records of appropriate documents, forms, permits, work management systems, commissioning and as-built drawings
  • Maintain open lines of communication between facilities department and stake-holders departments
  • Identify opportunities for internal facilities department to assist and expedite project needs
  • Use follow-up skills to ensure clients, internal team and suppliers / subcontractors are all working off the same set of expectations.



  • 2+ years experience in field construction, construction project management or related role
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (building science, construction management, civil engineering, supply chain management, etc.) or experiential equivalent
  • Professionalism in dealing with Owners, Architects, Consultants, Subcontractors and Co-workers
  • Proven ability to address competing priorities within a single project with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Have project and time management skills and the ability to use time wisely and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Strong understanding of construction and construction management process from start to finish
  • Works and thrives in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Strong sense of ownership


  • Procurement and Supply Chain experience
  • Vendor Management experience
  • Ability to focus on continuous improvement, including providing well-thought-out solutions
  • Strong Excel reporting skills
  • Understanding of Budgets and GL Accounts
  • Project Management a plus
  • MRO buying experience
