About the role
Launching rockets and operating satellites requires a symphony of multiple teams, multiple sites, and multiple complex systems working together towards mission success. Software drives every aspect of this, and Rocket Lab has a large number of complex software products.
  
Working with Rocket Lab’s software team a Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for coordination and execution of all aspects of software quality including standards, processes, testing, and configuration management. You’ll have a software development background and be comfortable talking in depth with engineers regarding implementation details.
  
Essential skills

• Tertiary Diploma, Certificate or degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or demonstrated equivalent level of knowledge.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a software development environment with major focus on software quality assurance.
• Experience with Redmine, Jira or other issue tracker
• Experience with Team City, Jenkins, GitLab CI or other build system.
• Experience with SQA of embedded and desktop software applications
• Use of C/C++ and/or Python for writing automated tests or tools
• Experience with Linux and Windows
• Experience with industry and regulatory software standards
