As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, you will be responsible for supporting the component testing and verification activities. You will coordinate component qualification and acceptance testing, review test setups, develop and improve processes, document results, and perform root cause failure analysis investigations. You will also work closely with the Dynamic Environments lead and Engines Program leadership to identify technical and programmatic risks and resolve them in a timely manner. You will work in a fast-paced environment and provide innovative solutions to challenging physics problems experienced in the demanding environments of rocket engines.

Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering, preferably mechanical or aerospace
Hands on test engineering experience in Aerospace or similar industry
Experience with sensors and instrumentation (pressure transducers, accelerometers etc.), data acquisition systems and signal processing
Ability to work effectively in teams
Ability to be self-directed and balance several tasks at one time. Conduct and/or oversee several test projects simultaneously to meet required schedule
Ability to communicate test and analysis results effectively
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
8+ years’ experience in rocket engine or launch vehicle component development and testing
Strong technical fundamentals in propulsion, fluids, and structural dynamics
Familiarity with rocket engine hot fire testing and data collection using instrumentation such as accelerometers, pressure transducers, strain gages, load cells, and microphones.
Experience with environmental testing (proof, leak, vibration, thermal etc.) per SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-1540 or MIL-STD-810
Experience with post-test data review and analysis
Familiarity with Creo (Pro/E), Windchill
Excellent understanding of MATLAB
Export Control Regulations
