As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will lead and guide a program team or an integrated product team supporting one of our Blue Engine programs.ย Our engines are being developed to support the mission of affordable, low-cost access to space. This role will manage the overall scope, schedule, budget and risk for your assigned system/ sub-system.
As part of a passionate and accomplished team, you will work at the intersection of program management, engineering, supply chain, production and test organizations, improving team effectiveness and coordination, and ensuring that the right people are working together to solve problems and deliver results on time.ย This position will support all aspects of program management to include cost, schedule, technical/ design and risk management as well as working with Blue Origin internal organizations and suppliers to deliver a qualified system.
The scope of the role spans product development, qualification for flight, transitioning hardware to rate production, and supporting robust commercial flight operations including managing production, maintenance, repair and ongoing product upgrades/improvements.ย Customer and Government contractor interaction will be required.
This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Qualifications

Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering
15+ years liquid rocket engine, military/commercial turbine engine, spacecraft, launch vehicle, or aircraft systems development experience
7+ years in progressive project management roles including experience as the technical or subsystem lead
Demonstrated technical expertise in one or more of the following product areas with experience across the full product life cycle: Military/commercial turbine engines/ components, liquid rocket engines/components, aerospace fluid/mechanical systems in disciplines including systems engineering, controls, software, manufacturing, integration or test
Highly organized leader with excellent technical written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated track record of resourcefulness, strong business and technical judgement and bias for action from their previous assignments.
Successful experience in hiring and developing great people with diverse skill sets and demonstrated ability to motivate and organize effective teams and resolve conflicts.
Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment and ability to travel in support of the program, customer and supplier activities.
