The Role

This is a hybrid role where someone can work remotely but must be local and able to commute to the Westminster, CO Maxar location as required to provide support of the software.

What you will do with your team  

In this role you will assist in the proof of concept, design, execution, and delivery of all of our applications that provide ordering capabilities to our customers. You will work collaboratively with our technical delivery teams to ensure that the solutions meet the business need and align with the overall technical direction of the BSS train and Maxar as a whole. The work this role performs helps to bring our customers in the door and helps our customers to work with Maxar with ease. Without this group, Maxar would not be able to provide the excellent service required to support the needs of our high-profile clients in the space and satellite industry.

• Design and Develop services and user interfaces to exceed our customer expectations.  We write world class code, embrace test automation, and achieve stability and reliability through CI/CD practices.

• Foster and support the on-going growth and practices of agile cloud development within the organization.

• Pioneer new and innovative solutions leveraging the newest offerings from AWS

• Provide Tier-3 level support of the software you and your team own

• Own multiple services and user interfaces that make up part of our complex ground system.

• Establish service SLAs and SLOs and measure service performance against those goals

• Establish and adhere to secure coding practices

Minimum Requirements for this Position

• Must be a U.S. citizen and be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance 

• BS in a technical discipline (Computer Science preferred). Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree

• 8 or more years of experience programming in Python or Java

• 1+ year experience building and supporting solutions in cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)

• 3+ years agile software development lifecycle experience

These skills would be amazing 

• Experience with: 

  • RESTful APIs

  • Relational and Nonrelational databases 

  • Service Oriented Architectures

  • Javascript/React/Angular experience

  • Software containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry)

• AWS Associate or Professional Certification  

• Experience utilizing serverless software architectures

• Active DoD security clearance 

• Demonstrated ability to drive cross team collaboration

• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills

The compensation range for this position is $113,000 to $188,000 annually, dependent on skills and experience. This position is also eligible for a bonus.
