About the role
Rocket Lab is redefining access to space by providing a dedicated small satellite launch vehicle and offering a launch cadence beyond anything provided in the past. This is achieved through efficiencies throughout the entire chain of our vertically integrated service delivery. A key link is the production and assembly of Electron. Through the optimal use of modern techniques and systems, Rocket Lab’s Production Automation Software helps assure the quality of all manufactured and assembled components of our vehicles. A software engineer in the team will develop and support tools while continuing to develop as an engineer.
  
Essential skills

  • Tertiary Diploma, Certificate or degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or demonstrated equivalent level of knowledge.
  • C/C++, Python programming experience
  • Embedded systems programming experience

  
Desirable skills

  • Networked application development experience
  • Database application development experience
  • Experience with User Interface development 
  • Experience with Web application development
  • Experience with Scrum 
  • Experience with Git 
  • Experience with issue trackers (e.g. Jira, Redmine, Bugzilla)
