As an Associate Program Manager, you will be driving the business operations at Sierra Space through your skills and expertise. You will be responsible for all program, planning, and control aspects of assigned programs and activities with emphasis on cost, schedule, and performance management. You'll be responsible for developing budgets, consolidating estimates to completion, collecting monthly status, performing variance analysis, and IPMR reporting to ensure program performance meet cost and schedule expectations. On a daily basis, the position supports the Program Director, Mission Managers, Control Account Managers, FP&A, and Business Operations in fulfilling their responsibilities. Other duties and responsibilities include resource planning, baseline control, risk management, and ensuring overall program performance objectives are achieved. You will be the driver in ensuring program issues and problems are identified, tracked, and resolved - driving the success of Sierra Spaceโ€™s marquee programs.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or technical related discipline

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and drive others to success

  • Requires strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules

  • Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations

Preferred:

  • 3 years of schedule, budget, earned value, and program management experience as your primary function in aerospace or a related industry.ย  Higher education may be considered in lieu of experience.

  • Ability to manage complex schedules and budgets in support of large development programs in an earned value environment with emphasis on IMS and critical path management, labor and non-labor planning, rolling wave planning, baseline change control, monthly variance analysis and reporting, preparing and conducting monthly performance reviews, and Risk & Opportunity Register management.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills; able to develop, articulate and implement program initiatives, document process descriptions, advocate for program requirements, conduct individual and group training, and enforce program and company standards.ย ย ย ย 

  • Proven experience and skills in leadership, team management, and team building.

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Managing projects requiring Earned Value Management

  • Ability to lead PM process & tool improvement for the Enterprise

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $88,499.72 - $121,687.12

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
