As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will set the technical bar and grow the dynamics modeling capabilities for a variety of liquid propulsion rocket engines. As a subject matter expert, you will be involved in all aspects of the planning, design, build and test activities for complex Liquid Propellant Rocket Engine control, simulation and modeling. You will be expected to mentor, both technically and professionally, less experienced team members in the rigor required analysis the transient and dynamic performance of liquid propulsion rocket engines. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.
As an Engine Avionics Simulation and Modeling Infrastructure engineer, you will lead all technical activities in the area of creation of a new Simulation and Modeling Test and Validation & Verification framework using Simulink platform. You will provide leadership towards establishing a model validation and unit test environment using Simulink features such as a Test Manager, Test Harnesses and Data Inspector etc. for automated V & V of engine control system models for various rocket engine programs. You will also leverage your expertise and experience in Test automation and V & V areas to develop a core simulation test platform that is capable of supporting a repeatable test case execution, ability for fault injection in Simulink model validation process for running default test sequences and other model checkouts. You will lead generation of model test scripts for requirements validation and support MBD/auto-code verification and validation for DO-178C and DO-331 compliance. Additional expertise in Dev Ops area such as knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containers/dockers and VMs will be a plus. Using your engine control background, you will support existing and emergent unit tests for engine model validation and verification in desktop and HIL environments. Your responsibilities will include overall automated test leadership for our simulation and modeling team and support of engine simulation and model deliveries to both internal and external customers using tools such as RPM files. Experience with Co-Simulation environments using multiple Sim tools is also highly desirable for this role.
