We have a current opportunity for a Senior DevOps Software Engineer located in Chantilly, VA working at our customer location. In this role you will be significantly improving the Space Force’s Space Domain Awareness. You are working with a team focused on building the replacement system for the Space Force’s Space Defense Operations Center (SPADOC) space situational awareness computer system established in 1979 at the North American Aerospace Defense Command’s (NORAD). This is really focused on the digital side of building a space domain awareness platform to allow the Space Force Guardians to use more apps, do more digital work, and ingest traditional and non-traditional data sources. The role will put brainpower on developing new applications that can provide awareness of improves monitoring of space objects, increases satellite debris, enhances safety of space operations, and accelerates analysis of space objects and their behaviors.
LoadPath, a Redwire business unit, is looking for a self-starting, team-oriented Senior DevOps Software Engineer to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team to work on-site at one of our customer’s locations. The team is building a large-scale enterprise application using web technologies, distributed computation and storage frameworks, and sophisticated, cutting-edge domain analytics, with the system hosted on virtualized and cloud-computing platforms. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as engage with a team to achieve overall program objectives. This position will work on system architecture efforts and report to the Contract Program Manager. The Software Engineer position will develop software applications and participate in the entire software development life cycle. This requires that the candidate has a strong knowledge base of engineering principles, theories and techniques and a passion for relevant new technologies.
