About the Role 

At Capella, we’re growing our Federal team and we are seeking a TS/SCI-cleared technical Project Manager with experience working in the intelligence community (IC) and Depart of Defense (DoD) to lead critical customer programs. In this role, you’ll work with the Capella Federal team and technical leads across the company to deliver Capella SAR capabilities for projects in Capella’s US Government portfolio. At Capella, the teams leverage Scrum agile methodologies, but the successful candidate must be familiar with a variety of program/project management approaches in order to adapt the best approach for the specific customer culture. This position is located in the greater Washington DC metropolitan area with the key customers being in Northern Virginia.     

Requirements 

  • Experience working with internal technical leads to coordinate program delivery  
  • Experience establishing and maintaining project schedules, and delivering reliably  
  • Experience using agile tracking tools such as Jira  
  • Experience developing and communicating project plans effectively 
  • Experience leading projects for DoD and intelligence community customers  
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain expectations with customers  
  • Understanding of relevant federal compliance requirements (such as relevant federal acquisition regulations (FAR), Information Security, etc.)  
  • Background in the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) community  
  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years leading projects within the IC and/or DoD 
  • Based in the Washington DC metro area with ability to go to Northern VA customer sites  
  • Ability to succeed and excel in a remote working environment  
  • Ability to travel within the United States; up to 10% travel outside of the Washington DC area

  

Preferred 

  • Background in remote sensing   
  • Understanding of SAR  
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification  
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting and contract types 
  • Understanding of geospatial data formats and tools  
  • Understanding of geospatial standards or strong interest to build expertise in this area 
  • Takes initiative; Results-oriented attitude; Acts with a sense of urgency

  

Additional Required Qualifications 

  • This position requires special access to conduct the work and the selected candidate must be a US Citizen, with a Top Secret security clearance and a current CI polygraph
