With over 50 years of operational excellence and proven performance, we use satellite-generated imagery and data to deliver critical and value-added insights for a wide range of use cases, including in the areas of national security, climate change monitoring, and global commerce.  We own and operate one of the world’s most technologically sophisticated wide area SAR satellites and have developed the world’s largest multi-sensor ground station network. Our integrated satellite and ground station network, combined with our value-added analytics capabilities, enables us to deliver a cutting edge and fully integrated EO solution to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility is the design, development and delivery of compliant, customer-focused proposals.
  • Conduct proposal planning/scheduling, detailed RFP analysis, proposal kick-offs, provide small group and one-on-one coaching/guidance to team members, and lead the teams through proposal product development to delivery.
  • Develop outlines, annotated outlines, and written narrative.
  • Facilitate costing/pricing development including scheduling of costing kick-off and price reviews.
  • Facilitate value proposition development, as well as solution development. Work with capture and technical teams to understand the value proposition/win strategy and lead a proposal team to effectively and compliantly communicate the value proposition/win strategy
  • Initiate and ensure RFP and appropriate proposal sections, including pricing, are reviewed in accordance with the established proposal process.
  • Manage the process for asking questions of the customer in coordination with Contracts Lead.
  • Conduct color team reviews (e.g. Pink, Red, Gold), facilitate volume production, submission, and post-submission actions.
  • Support proposal strategy development, theme and discriminator development, proposal planning and scheduling, and proposal artifacts development/publication.
  • Manage proposal budget and report spending status.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Business Development, Capture, Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Contracts, Desktop Publishing, and Finance) to deliver compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer-defined requirements and timeframes.
  • Monitor government web sites for potential opportunities, RFPs and bidding instructions.
  • Ensure on-time production and communicate delivery plan.
  • Manage multiple proposals simultaneously.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of proven successful experience managing, writing and coordinating Federal Government proposals of high complexity, particularly in the aerospace or other technical (not IT) fields. Experience managing Canadian Space Agency (CSA) proposals a plus.
  • Experience leading proposal team members in the consistent use of processes and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and managerial skills.
  • Capable of understanding and/or learning a variety of technical concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities while meeting high quality standards in a fast-paced environment supporting critical business development activities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to use standard English writing styles and structures to write proposal sections, including the ability to research and synthesize information from multiple sources (subject matter experts, previous proposals) into a cohesive and persuasive final product.
  • Software expertise: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Adobe Acrobat Pro.
