About the Team
At Capella we task and operate our satellites entirely via a fully automated API – the platform team exposes the API, associated systems and applications to end-users.
The Capella Platform Engineering team is responsible for building and operating all of Capella’s customer-facing APIs, apps, and systems, including algorithms and analytics. We build an API-first customer-facing platform, with various apps, GUIs, and SDKs built on top. Our systems operate in the cloud (AWS) and on-prem, primarily on AWS & Kubernetes based infrastructure.
About The Role
Capella is looking for a Backend Engineer to join the platform engineering team, responsible for building and operating Capella’s user facing systems and APIs. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day product delivery and execution, testing, designing and implementing new systems. Areas you will work on at Capella include the data archive, searching & indexing, data ingest & product generation, business systems integration, business intelligence, and geospatial streaming & tiling systems, as well as public-facing APIs that expose internal Capella systems such as satellite tasking, scheduling, and feasibility.
