Job Description
This position will support all aspects of program management to include cost, schedule and risk management as well as working with the Honeybee internal organizations and suppliers to deliver quality hardware, on time. Responsible for technical as well as non-technical management of multiple aerospace projects. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls all activities of a program to satisfy contractual requirements and meet financial commitments to the company, while ensuring good employee and customer relations. Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
Develop project plans â responsible for overall program leadership including appropriate planning, direction, guidance, and budget.Â
Manage technical and project level risks, stay on top of scope changes and contractual modifications and identify and communicate corrective actionsÂ
Review and evaluate the program status on a continuing basis and work unplanned program issues to a best solution, including development of plans-forward, escalation and increased resources, as required Â
Compile and present project status, schedule and budgetary EVM statistics to customers or company management, as requiredÂ
Lead smaller projects independently and larger projects together with Systems Engineer for teams consisting of Design, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing Engineers, as well as TechniciansÂ
Lead team meetings, assign and/or record action items in project management tools and assure follow throughÂ
Ensure that program requirements, purposes, objectives, and expectations are communicated and flowed down to the internal team and suppliersÂ
Identify and ensure required compliance with the government and company regulation, policies/procedures and guidelines; negotiate acceptance/approval of all program plans with internal interfaces and the customerÂ
Lead change proposal efforts for program including pre-coordination with customer to establish expectationsÂ
Organize and lead customer milestone reviews such as PDRs and CDRs and assign action items, as requiredÂ
Employ proactive risk and opportunity management processes and practices to mitigate or capture potential program issues and improvementsÂ
Ensure that all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations Â
Resolve conflicts, demands and priorities on assigned programsÂ
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule

Required Experience, Skills and EducationÂ
US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)Â
B.S. in an aerospace, mechanical, or systems engineering-related field (or equivalent experience)Â
8 years related experience in program management with relevant experience in complex aerospace productsÂ
Proven ability to build relationships with customers and other external stakeholdersÂ
NASA, DOD or commercial spaceflight or aerospace project experience with working experience in all phases of a typical project life-cycle phases is required; this experience is preferably gained through technical or programmatic leadership roles while working at one of these agencies, a prime contractor or lower tier supplier.Â
Familiarity with government contractor cost accounting requirements and industry standard project/program accounting practices and methods such creating Work Breakdown Structures, earned value assessments as well as cost estimate to complete tasks and projects (ETC/EACâs)Â
Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment and ability to travel in support of the program, customer and employee activitiesÂ
PMP certification preferred but not requiredÂ
NASA Flight Project Experience including NASA Life-Cycle Phases preferred but not required
