Description

Spireโ€™s Space Services team is seeking a talented, self-directed Sales Development Representative to identify and cultivate new opportunities to provide customer value through Spireโ€™s capabilities, infrastructure, and services.ย 

You will have the opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of our adoption in multiple market segments and geographies. In this role, you will create the first impression for our prospective customers through business development activities and follow-ups on inquiries from our marketing initiatives. You should have an interest in or are considering sales as a career path, and you should be excited by new technologies and the broad applicability of space to solve problems on earth (a recent graduate with no prior work experience is welcome to apply).ย 

Responsibilities of your role

  • Making outbound calls to potential customers and following up on inbound leads.
  • Researching and identifying potential sales opportunities or potential upcoming RFP/RFQ opportunities for us to bid on, including dial-downs for upcoming events and product announcements.
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information by email or webchat.
  • Willing to work in a structured, metric-based role whereby you are expected to make over 30 calls a day and create new business opportunities to feed the pipeline for our business development executives.
  • Proactively reaching out to target customers via LinkedIn / email / phone / other channels
  • Ensure a seamless hand-off to the respective sales team
  • Keeping up with our products and updates.
  • Maintaining our CRM

Basic Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent work experienceย 
  • Interest in sales and the new space industry

Preferred qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Time management, prioritization and organizational skills
