JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager has direct responsibility for leading the monthly close, supporting financial audits, and the accounts receivable function. Additionally, the role will be expected to support SEC reporting, SOX controls, and other special finance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounting team through daily, weekly, and monthly tasks culminating in the monthly financial close process
• Oversee the quarterly and annual financial audits, reviewing and preparing documentation and assist in audit team collaboration and communications
• Manage the accounts receivable function, collaborating with sales team and customers to ensure proper and timely billing and collections
• Assist in SEC reporting function by leading accounting team in preparation of all report-supporting documentation and schedules
• Oversee and manage certain accounting operations to ensure compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, especially with respect to Financial Close & Reporting, Fixed Assets, Order to Cash
• Take on special finance & accounting oriented projects as needed
• Develop operational procedures and enhance process efficiencies through automation and elimination of process redundancies
• Provide regular performance feedback, development, and managerial support to employees with overall responsibility of leading, training, and mentoring for effective performance

Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of experience managing, developing, and mentoring staff
• Experience with NetSuite a plus
• Advanced Excel a plus

Education & Work Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA preferred
• 7+ years of experience, incl. public company, start-up experience and IPO experience

Salary and option compensation is commensurate with experience and training. This is a full-time position in San Jose, California. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
