As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers you will be responsible for the hands-on design, development, and testing of turbomachinery for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of turbomachinery and rocket engine development and operation.

This includes leadership and individual contribution in the entire design cycle of turbomachinery to the maturation of these components and the overall system through development testing and flight operations.

You will need a proven ability to develop, execute, and improve technical processes in the turbomachinery design and development cycle by formulating and implementing preventative and corrective actions. Ability to lead and mentor teammates in a highly collaborative environment is essential.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in engineering discipline

  • 8+ years of experience with turbomachinery component design, development, testing, and flight support

  • Strong knowledge of rotating machinery component design and manufacturing including turbines, impellers, cases, bearings, and seals

  • Proficiency in data analysis and post-processing to assess component health

  • Strong knowledge of hardware fabrication and quality control

  • Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Experience with turbomachinery specific to rocket engine applications

  • Experience with cryogenic fluids and oxygen compatibility
